The reason why we are part of the Energy Charter is simple: we believe there is value for our customers in transparency and that our industry’s challenges can only be solved by working together.

We have volunteered to report how our company is performing against five customer experience principles in an annual disclosure and we are committed to making progress against these principles over time

The five principles of the Energy Charter are:

  1. We will put customers at the centre of our business and the energy system.
  2. We will improve energy affordability for customers.
  3. We will provide energy safely, sustainably and reliably.
  4. We will improve the customer experience.
  5. We will support customers facing vulnerable circumstances.

Our Disclosures

Our 2022 disclosure covers a period of significant, ongoing disruption to the energy market, tighter supply conditions and higher energy prices for customers. As the only major energy retailer in Australia that is a signatory to the Energy Charter, our commitment to the principles of putting customers at the centre of our business and the energy system is even more important as we work our way through current industry challenges and accelerate our transition to a clean energy future.
